Dear Friends and Neighbors,
As the 2026 legislative session reaches its halfway point, activity in Olympia is moving quickly. Dozens of bills remain alive, and many will be voted on in their respective chambers over the next several days. As we debate and vote on these policies, I remain focused on representing the priorities of the 17th Legislative District and ensuring your voices are part of the decisions being made.
To stay connected and hear directly from you, I invite you to join me and my seatmates at an upcoming town hall in our district. This is an opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and receive updates on the work underway in this session.
On Wednesday, Feb. 18, I will join my 17th District seatmates, Rep. Kevin Waters, R-Stevenson, and Sen. Paul Harris, R-Vancouver, for a virtual town hall meeting to discuss the 2026 legislative session, which is about to hit the House of Origin cutoff.
Next Tuesday, all bills except those necessary to implement the budget must be passed out of their house of origin to stay alive.
This town hall meeting will be a great opportunity to update you on all the good and bad bills that made it out of the House and discuss how they will affect you.
This one-hour event will be held over Zoom on Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
